AWS Cloud Solutions
Purpose-built AWS architectures for production web applications — auto-scaling EC2, ECS/Fargate containers, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudFront CDN, and security-hardened VPC networking with IAM policies that follow least-privilege principles.
Infrastructure that grows with your traffic
A server that works fine under 100 concurrent users doesn't necessarily survive a marketing campaign that brings 10,000. The difference is architecture, not hardware. We design AWS infrastructure with auto-scaling at every layer — EC2 Auto Scaling Groups or ECS Fargate for the application tier, RDS with read replicas for the database tier, ElastiCache Redis for session and query caching, and CloudFront at the edge to absorb static asset traffic before it reaches your origin.
For Laravel applications specifically, we tune the configuration for the AWS environment: queue workers on dedicated instances with SQS as the queue backend, scheduled tasks via EventBridge rather than cron on the web server, filesystem operations directed to S3 with a CloudFront distribution for public assets, and Horizon for real-time queue monitoring. The result is a stateless application tier where any instance can be terminated and replaced without data loss or user impact.
Security and compliance by design
Security on AWS is not a firewall setting — it's a set of layered decisions made at the network, identity, data, and application layers. We design VPC architectures with public and private subnets: only the load balancer is publicly exposed, the application servers and database are in private subnets with no direct internet access. IAM roles follow least-privilege — the EC2 instance role has permission to write to specific S3 buckets and read from specific Secrets Manager paths, nothing more.
Database credentials, API keys, and environment secrets never appear in environment variables or code repositories — they're stored in AWS Secrets Manager and injected at runtime. Encryption at rest is enabled for EBS volumes, RDS instances, and S3 buckets as a default. CloudTrail logs every API call for audit purposes. For businesses with compliance requirements (SOC 2, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001), this baseline is the starting point, not an afterthought.
